The UK stands at a crossroads, with two very clear directions:
(a) Risk the recovery and return to high unemployment, cuts in public services and a return to Thatcherism.
(b) Continue with the fragile recovery, reduce unemployment and protect public services and half the debt in 4 years.
Gordon Brown might not be the most interesting of leaders but given the choice, I'd sooner have him run the country than David Cameron. I've really enjoyed watching Nick Clegg lead the LibDems, but at the end of the day it comes down to substance and sadly the LibDems lack that in their policies.
