Tales From The Attic Set For Return In January 2010

robmacca's 'Tales From The Attic' is set for a return in January 2010 with twenty nine new episodes (watch the first fourteen episodes HERE). The brand new episodes will be revealing more stories from the 1980's as they show what life was like for a geeky teenager who was obsessed with Channel 4. Follow each day as a new 'Tales From The Attic' is uploaded for your viewing pleasure (or cringe worthy).

Enjoy!

BA Strike - Public Attack Workers

Rather than support the results of a democratic ballot, the UK public have turned on British Airways workers with a passion of hatred. Comments on the BBC website 'Have Your Say', show how little the public understand why BA workers feel the need to strike. All they are concerned about is their OWN flight or OWN needs.

Virtually no comments backed the staff of BA who have been forced to take a stand. Managers who have helped get BA into this mess look likely to get off the hook once again and it will be the workers of BA and the public who will lose out.

I'm glad my comment was printed on the BBC website:

Reading the comments shows how selfish the public really are, caring only about themselves. Perhaps people should take a few minutes to think about the BA staff, who overwhelmingly voted to have their voice heard. Now BA want to silence that in court.

Once again we see an employer who thinks it is OK to drastically change working conditions and employment contracts without proper consultation.

When will employers learn that they need to engage the work force and not bully it?

Ebay Your Life Away!

It's amazing what I've collected over the years, and as this picture shows - just 30 of my Girls Aloud CD collection that I've put on eBay today in an effort to try and clear some of my stuff out. I wonder if it will sell or not?

Life Got Quiet

I wish I could write exciting news of exotic travels and wild parties but the truth is - life got quiet. It's been a strange old year, marked by the end of my party days and a contentment with homely life. I've swapped late night booze and clubbing for a few cans of lager at home and DVD's.

Most people my age are either married with children or busy climbing to the top of their career ladder - neither interest me but it does mean life has become a lot quieter. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bored or in need of wild nights out. I'm happy and contented, even if the pace of life has become somewhat less busy.

Maybe I should take up knitting...........
